What’s new in version 25:

  • New furnishing objects. Create contemporary interiors with Archicad’s Object Library. Each 3D object is parametric and contains a wide range of customizable components.
  • Surface textures, soft shadows and cover fills. The new presentation tools to create professional design presentations, powerful sections and elevations.
    • Fade Distant Elements option to create a sense of depth and draw attention to what’s important in the foreground.
    • Surface-based fills to experiment with and present multiple design options in various sections, elevations, and floor plans without changing the elements themselves.
  • Stair tool enhancements. Greater flexibility and local standard compliance.
    • The new Along Chord calculation method for calculating total length of the stair’s walking line.
    • The new Asymmetric Going option for flexible design of the winder.
    • The new Distribute Extra Landing Length setting to control automatic landing geometry. You can choose between Equally, Landing Start, and Landing End options.
  • Quick shift between 2D and 3D. New and improved commands for better 2D-3D navigation: Select on Floor Plan, Select in 3D, Hide Selection.
  • Quick graphical quality checks. The flexible Graphic Override functionality to create high-quality and accurate architectural documentation. Choose custom RGB colors. Synchronize visualization between 2D and 3D views.
  • Polygonal openings and MEP labels. Seamless collaboration with MEP engineers.
    • Opening Tool to create openings easily from any MEP elements created with the built-in MEP Modeler or received from the MEP engineer via IFC files.
    • Polygonal Openings provide expanded design freedom. Create polygonal openings of any shape in 2D or 3D view with the enhanced Opening Tool.
    • Use MEP Label to display MEP-specific data when documenting the MEP system in your project.
  • Structural analytical model improvements. Seamless collaboration with structural engineers. A better-quality analytical model with less error to fix in the analysis software.
    • Support for load handling and load-related data, engineers no longer need to re-create loads during round-trip collaboration.
    • Custom alignment of replacement profiles to better match the physical model. Enhanced Offset Adjuster to control more complex geometries.
    • Eliminate overlapping parts of 2D analytical members.
    • Create structural supports with a single click. Place multiple supports to all selected load bearing elements at once.
  • More accurate component schedules. New component properties to get more accurate schedules, quantity takeoffs and cost estimates. Set up component-level conditional rules beyond the element-level rules. Use Building Material Classification to control what components the rules should be applied to. You can subtract holes of certain size. To comply with the local standards, set up component-level rules for the volume as well.

About Graphisoft

GRAPHISOFT ignited the BIM revolution in 1984 with ARCHICAD, the industry first BIM software for architects. GRAPHISOFT continues to lead the industry with innovative solutions such as its revolutionary BIMcloud, the world’s first real-time BIM collaboration environment, EcoDesigner STAR, the world’s first fully BIM-integrated “GREEN” design solution and BIMx, the world’s leading mobile app for BIM visualization. GRAPHISOFT has been a part of the Nemetschek Group since its acquisition in 2007.
