Procreate for iPad is an digital art and illustration app that lets you draw anytime and anywhere with the world of art media literally at your fingertips. Features:
- Layers. You can use layers the same way you use tracing paper. Create a new layer, turn down the opacity, add a new drawing layer on top of that and begin sketching.
- Brush library. Procreate’s standard artistic brush set can help you improve your sketching and rendering.
- “Quick lines” and “Quick shapes”. “Quick line” feature allows you to hold the pencil down at the end of any freehand line and snap that line into a straight line. Similarly, the “Quick shape” feature allows you to draw a shape (like an ellipse or triangle) freehand, then hold the pencil down to snap that shape into a more perfect form. You can then transform that shape any way you want.
- Perspective and 2D grid drawing guides. Easily translate freehand sketch into accurate perspective. Use a 2D grid to draw or draft lines.
- Select and fill method. Use a select and fill technique to add color to an area defined by the selection tool. Graphically represent your landscape, materials, and create shadows in conjunction with the multiply blend mode. You can adjust colors after you choose them.
- Hue, saturation and brightness. Like Photoshop, Procreate lets you alter any color in your rendering at any time by adjusting hue, saturation and brightness sliders.
- Blending modes. Blending modes are very useful especially for architectural rendering. The multiply blending mode ensures that anything darker than the color you’ve just applied will still show through, and this is a big help when rendering glass and shadows.
- Share your creations. Import or export your art as Photoshop PSD files. Import images files such as JPG, PNG and TIFF. Export your art as layered native .procreate file, PSD, TIFF, transparent PNG, multi-page PDF, web ready JPEG, OBJ, USDZ, and animated GIFs, PNGs, and MP4s.
