PVcase Ground Mount for AutoCAD is an unique solar design software that allows you to create solar park designs based on the 3D topographical terrain. It significantly automates solar engineering for construction, saves you time, and also allows for much better precision. You can create detailed 3D layouts and overcome site-specific challenges upfront. There is also other version of the software which is intended for rooftop solar projects, and it’s called PVcase Roof Mount. The third version – PVcase Yield – is coming soon.
In order to cut GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions, US and European Union (EU) are transitioning to renewable energy sources. In the US, it is predicted that renewable energy sources (mostly solar and wind) will meet current electricity demand levels by 2035. EU set the goal to get the continent to net-zero GHG emissions by 2050 which means renewable energy will need to replace fossil fuels completely. In EU, renewables will make up 40% of the overall energy production by 2030. Copenhagen, Denmark, is already on course to become the world’s first carbon-neutral city by 2025.
Typical workflow:
- Import 3D topographical scan data from any source.
- Open PVcase tools panel and quickly create a PV park layout. The app provides intuitive interface, accurate topography assessment and precise shading calculations.
- Continue the design with automated stringing, 3D cabling, terrain analysis, cross-sections and much more.
- Export and share cable runs, piling lengths, and other cost estimations.
What’s new in version 2.30:
- Improved electrical cabling interface.
- Electrical component labeling.
- Reverse string polarity after completing the electrical design.
- Consistent alignment across the commands.
