AutoCAD mobile app (aka AutoCAD – DWG Viewer & Editor, formerly known as AutoCAD WS and AutoCAD 360) provides essential tools to view, edit, create and share CAD drawings on a tablet or smartphone. It is a cloud based application that lets you take your drawings with you wherever, to the site, meetings, etc. You’re not going to find every single tool that you have in desktop version of AutoCAD. It’s more to give you the essential tools for editing or creating information on-the-go which we can then enhance through AutoCAD later when you get back to the office. Some of the benefits are: bridge the field/office gap, reduce delays, improve collaboration, paperless.

It isn’t just designed to run on an iPad, you can run it on your phone (Android or Apple phone) or Windows devices.

Currently there are 3 types of plans: Free, Premium, and Ultimate.
– Free allows for viewing and measuring of DWG files.
– Premium and Ultimate allows for drawing and editing, layer management, more storage and many advanced features.

You can use AutoCAD mobile app in conjunction with AutoCAD web app. AutoCAD web app is a free viewer that enables you to work with CAD drawings online in a web browser on any device and without any software installation.

Version 6.0 for iOS updates (changelog)

  • 6.0.1 Update. Performance improvements and bug fixes. The last version that supports iOS 13.

What’s new in version 6.0.0 for iOS:

  • New “Import Markup” button on the Traces Palette to easily import annotations made on paper sheets, PDFs, or images into your drawings.
