Family Browser for Revit is a content management solution that allows you to control Revit families from a central location. Family Browser stays up to date with any changes made in Windows Explorer – no need to use “Load Family” function. It is suitable for practices of any size. BIM Manager can quickly and easily share company content to all users over multiple offices and locations.

- You choose where your content resides. It can be local, LAN or any cloud-based file location. Family Browser supports Dropbox, OneDrive, Microsoft Exchange and Autodesk BIM 360 out of the box.

- Up-to-date with changes made in Windows Explorer. No more loading families via “Load Family” and searching through numerous folders within Windows Explorer and loading a project with multiple unwanted types.

- Customizable icon previews. See what you are about to load.
- Tags – Metadata can be added to any family as tags. Add more useful information to the family for searching.
- Users can star rate families. BIM managers can see what the most popular families are.
- Powerfull search function. Search across your entire library with instant feedback. Search by family name, type name, category, parameter value or customizable tags.
- Abitilty to add various file types to the content library. You can add RFA families, Revit system families, schedules, legends and drafting views, PDF, MP4 & DOCX files.
- Real-time web based analytics. Keep track off, and visually see what the most used content is and how your users are using Family Browser. See what are the most used families, tabs and groups and what users are using them. Analyze what users are searching for and the time it takes the Family Browser to respond to those requests. Keep track of your license usage.
- User management. Assign users as Admin or User. An user can use Family Browser but does not have any access to modify the setup of Family Browser.
- Family Browser is part of Revit. It is fully integrated into Revit’s UI through a floating palette.
- Web-based administration portal for settings and user/database management.
- Flexible licensing and subscription. Choose how many licenses you require and what expiration date. All licenses are Floating meaning you have the flexibility to install on as many computers as you wish, but can only run as many concurrent sessions of Revit that your subscription allows.
