FamilyReviser for Revit is a free Revit add-on that helps you to manage families (both loadable and system families) and worksets in your Revit projects. Save your families without backup files, and edit family/type name in an easy way.
Note: starting with Revit 2023, FamilyReviser is part of DiRootsOne and is no more available as a standalone product.
Features:
- Export/save in an organised way the Revit families from a project to a specific folder/subfolder.

- Batch rename family name and type name. Import/export from/to Excel to batch edit family name and type name.

Typical workflow:
When you start add-on, you can find two tabs:

- Exporter Tab
- Use the Exporter tab to easily export/save in an organised and structured way the Revit families from a project to a specific folder/subfolder. This helps you to keep your machine clean; no more Revit families backup files in your system/project library.
You can find families by Type Selection (Categories or Family Name and Type Name) and/or Category Type (Model or Annotation Categories)

- Editor Tab
- Use the Editor tab to easily edit Family Name and Type Name. Other features like Find and Replace and add Prefix and/or Suffix will enhance this task to amend the names of Revit families.
Finally, simply click the Update button to modify your families information.

- Export/Organize your Revit Families using multiple destination paths called repositories.
- Import tab to load families from multiple directories to your model with Revit version preview.
- Define subfolder search depth to import families.
- Export families to directories and groups per category.
- Export a list of families to Excel and CSV (Family Name, Type Name, and Category).
