StrucCope for Revit is a free add-on that automatically copes many beams/columns at once. You need to understand how Revit creates the cope before using this coping tool. It enhances Revit’s standard functionality and reduces work times in the model.

StrucCope automatically copes a selected beam/column with any number of intersecting beams/columns, or copes all the intersecting beams/columns with the selected beam/column and applies an offset specified by the user (supports metric and imperial input formats).

Typical workflow:

  1. To apply coping to a beam, select the beam and then execute the “Cope by intersecting beams/columns” command under the StrucCope menu in the Add-Ins tab.
  2. To apply coping to many beams, select a common intersecting beam and execute the “Cope all intersecting beams/columns” command.
  3. To remove all coping for a beam/column select the beam/column and execute the remove all copings.
  4. To remove all coping for many beams/columns, select the common intersecting beam/column and execute the same command.

What’s new in version 1.0.5:

  • Support for Revit 2023.
