StruSoft StruXML for Revit is a free tool that enables direct communication between FEM-Design and Autodesk Revit Structure. StruSoft StruXML Revit Add-In enables two – directional communication between Revit and FEM-Design. It is a powerful, but at the same time easy to use, tool that transfers the analytical model along with its properties between the two programs.
The transfer of structural elements from Revit to FEM-Design is done by exporting an analytical model of an instance of an element along with its properties. If a structural element in Revit does not have analytical model enabled, it can not be exported to FEM-Design.
Upon installation the StruSoft StuXML Revit Add-In, a StruSoft panel will be added in Revit. StruSoft tab contains three groups of commands: Tools, StruXML and Help.
Note: It is not required that FEM-Design and Revit are installed in the same computer. The only important requirement is that the right plugin is installed for particular Revit version, and that one always installs the newest versions of the plugin that are compatible with newest FEM-Design versions.
