Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional is a structural engineering tool for a comprehensive analysis of simple and complex structures obtained through the BIM (Building Information Modeling) process. It is designed for engineers who are involved in the BIM process and are constantly supporting the design of the project.

Robot Structural Analysis is able to do calculations for the most complex forms and structures using the automatically formed finite element networks as well as using nonlinear algorithms. Structural analysis is the study of how loads affect physical structures and their components.

Robot is part of Autodesk BIM workflow so you can simulate building analysis in a 3D model as well as doing your design at the same time. It uses data from BIM models to determine which material is being used and what physical characteristics the material has. You can create building analysis model within Robot and produce documentation and drawings out of that.

Gravity analysis with Load Takedown Method. Introduced Gravity Analysis, a new structural analysis type using the Load Takedown Method. The Load Takedown Method distributes floor loads onto beams, columns, and walls. Gravity Analysis provides you with fast and informative results in the early stages of design, where gravity loads will often drive your building design decisions.
Results exploration enhancements. Option to assess structural displacement in an individual direction. Specify whether your result maps for multiple load cases will display the top or bottom envelope. More easily set your preferred color for results displayed as crosses.
