What’s new in version 3.0:
Features new Asset Browser and Cycles X.
- Cycles X. An all new GPU accelearted rendering core offering 2-8x better performance.
- New Asset Browser. Organize and easily use Blender assets. Store, preview and drop assets into your scenes. Save these into libraries for repeated use.
- Pose Library. Store, apply and organize various character poses. Add and access these poses via the Asset Browser window and from the animation panel in 3D view.
- Geometry Nodes improvements. There are about 100 new nodes. Curves and text node support, fields and attributes, and more.
- Knife tool improvements. Cut multiple objects at once, and more.
- VR support improvements. VR support now has controller support. This allows you to view your controllers in the viewport and move around the scene.
- UI refresh. The default theme got a refresh to celebrate the 3.0 series.
