What’s new in version 3.5:

  • Improved the hair system: new hair assets and hair nodes powered by geometry nodes.
  • Added vector displacement map brushes to the Draw brush: quickly add details.
  • Improved compositor: GPU-based, make adjustments to your model while compositing is turned on.
  • macOS support for Metal: the 3D Viewport makes native use of Metal, Blender is a lot faster on Mac.
  • Improved Cycles: use of light tree to sample scenes with many lights, reduced noise; spotlights can have a non-uniform scale; the spread property is less noisy.
  • Improved Pose Library: tools for flipping and exaggerating.
  • Improved animation: new Ease operator to make an easing transitions on multiple keys.
  • Improved Grease Pencil: new Natural Drawing Speed to replay the strokes at the speed at which you drew them.
  • Support for importing and exporting USDZ files.
