PriMus-IFC is the BIM quantity take-off software that allows you to get precise measurement data from BIM models in just a few clicks. It allows quantity surveyors to generate detailed quantity takeoffs directly from BIM models. With PriMus IFC open and view any BIM model in the IFC file format, the worldwide standard used by major BIM software solutions such as: Edificius, Revit, ArchiCAD, Allplan and many other BIM authoring applications.
Acquire quantities and measurements directly from the BIM Objects, associate each object with a rate item and instantly get a detailed cost estimate of the entire project. The cost estimate is continuously updated with each variation introduced in the BIM Model or the reference Price List.

Typical workflow:
- Open the BIM model and choose the job type from a reference Pricebook.
- Select at least two entities from the BIM model and let PriMus-IFC identify all the similar entities present in the model.
- Quickly create a measurement rule.
- Obtain a detailed quantity take-off of all entities used in the project. The quantity take-off updates automatically whenever the BIM model changes. So you are continuously in full control over relationships between the entities and the cost items in a visually easy to read workflow. Save the measurement rulesets and keep them for future uses in other projects.
- Estimates and BoQs can be printed or exported in standard formats for further processing with other software.
PriMus-IFC produces a single file that contains both the BIM model and the integrated quantity takeoff. Ultimately it’s as if each entity acquires new information relating to costs while the BIM model acquires a new view, the quantity take-off view.
