UNIFI Pro is discontinued and has been replaced with Content Catalog.
UNIFI is a cloud-based BIM content management platform that ensures data consistency and allows you to quickly create healthier and higher quality models. The core features of UNIFI include versioning (automatically upgrade your entire library to the latest version of Revit), built-in content requests, robust and rapid search capabilities, saved searches, real-time project health insights, cloud-based and soon it will have a browser-based application further empowering users to access content anytime, anywhere. UNIFI enables users to find, share, and insert the content they need in seconds, empowering designers to quickly create data rich models. Beyond the efficiency gains, UNIFI serves a single source of truth to enforce BIM standards and well as a real-time project health monitor to prevent model crashes before they happen.
UNIFI includes desktop app and cloud-based platform. The UNIFI platform includes two solutions: UNIFI Pro, a Revit integrated cloud-based BIM content management and model analytics platform; and UNIFI Connect, a cloud-based manufacturer content library that connects manufacturer content with AEC BIM Managers through UNIFI Pro. You can try UNIFI free for 30 days, and pricing is volume based. UNIFI desktop app provides you access to usage statistics and all other analytics while advanced analytics are provided in the UNIFI Web Portal, a central location to manage all projects and content. UNIFI desktop app enables you to upload content to UNIFI from your file folder system. You can also export content from a BIM/CAD software you are working in. All users can upload content to UNIFI but the content will have to be approved by an admin before it is added.
UNIFI offers three types of user roles:
- Standard user. Access to specific libraries of content (majority of your user base).
- Library admin. Manage content within specific libraries (regional BIM managers and Revit power users).
- Company admin. Full control over all UNIFI functionality (create libraries, manage users, etc.).
Having a smaller “admin” base will mitigate users having the ability to delete content or upload content without it passing your internal QA procedures.
UNIFI comes with two empty, pre-made libraries that are ready for uploading content: Company Library, the main content library; and Detail Library, where you can store all of your company details (drafting views). Also you can create your own library structure. It is recommended to create separate libraries based on how you want to manage user permissions. Saved search feature can also be used to create custom groups of content. You can share your content libraries with any partner or outside consultants that are also using UNIFI.
Integration
UNIFI is integrated with Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, MicroStation. It can host any file type, including Revit, Bentley, SketchUp, AutoCAD, jpg, pdf, doc, xls, and even movies. You can use UNIFI with Revit and BIM 360 to manage family libraries.
The web browsers compatible with the UNIFI Web Portal are Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.
