Navisworks

Navisworks is a set of three progressively enhanced versions of a single product line, intended for project review and coordination in construction and project management. Each version — Navisworks Freedom, Navisworks Simulate, and Navisworks Manage — builds on the features of the previous one.

• Navisworks Freedom allows you to view, navigate, measure, and section a compiled model. It is a free viewer.
• Navisworks Simulate includes all the features of Freedom and additionally allows for quantity takeoff, annotations, saved viewpoints, and exporting combined models. Most project management and construction companies typically purchase Navisworks Simulate.
• Naviswork Manage is the highest version, incorporating all the features of Freedom and Simulate, with the addition of clash detection and clash management. Navisworks Manage is generally purchased by principal agents coordinating projects.

Navisworks Manage and Navisworks Simulate has integration with Model Coordination module of Autodesk Construction Cloud, that provides web access to models and federated views. Users can open models in Navisworks directly from coordination spaces in Model Coordination using the Coordination Issues for Autodesk Navisworks add-in.
