Fuzor is a VDC software that allows you to avoid coordination delays, create 4D/5D simulations and method statements, track construction progress, estimate project cost, plan site logistics, manage clashes in real-time and more. Developed by Kalloc Studios, Fuzor allows you to quickly translate your design into virtual reality providing bi-directional synchronization with Revit, ArchiCAD and Rhino. This means that any change in a BIM model will be reflected in a Fuzor model. Also Fuzor can read in various files such as Civil3D, Navisworks, SketchUp, IFC, FBX, 3DS, PTS and FARO point cloud scans…

Fuzor editions: Fuzor offers six editions for both network and single-use.

  • Virtual Design Construction
  • Construction Pro
  • Design Synergy
  • Design Ultimate
  • BIM Solution
  • Fuzor Lite

The “Virtual Design Construction” edition is the comprehensive solution containing all features of the “Construction Pro” edition, allowing the user to view and edit the model in AR/VR/MR and Mobile view and produce 4D construction sequence simulations, quantity take-offs and detailed analysis reports. The “Design Ultimate” edition contains all features of “Design Synergy” and “BIM Solution” editions such as bi-directional live linking, real-time editing, clash analysis, and VR support. Fuzor also comes with HoloLens support and gives the option of annotating and editing in the VR view using laser pointers.

Fuzor is intended for:

  • Architects – for design. Effectively bring your design into life through immersive VR experience with customizable avatars, material selection, real-time design update, interactive scenarios, and more.
  • Consultants – for BIM analysis. Accurately analyze and detect any non-conformance with automated tools and reporting mechanisms including safety, accessibility, clash, height clearance, and more.
  • Owners – for communication and scenario simulation.
  • Contractors – for construction. Plan and visualize your construction schedule, installation sequence, site utilization, resource deployment, time-cost relationship, critical activities, and more.

Features

  • Virtual Reality environments: The synced BIM model can be easily viewed in VR using platforms like HTC, Oculus, HoloLens, Windows Mixed Reality and Google Cardboard. You can also create annotations, change materials and place new families and equipment and review construction timelines inside the VR view.
  • Bi-directional synchronisation: You can use Fuzor to instantly update and correlate the design changes between the 2D views and 3D space. It supports various measurements, clash analysis, light analysis, colours and filters, cross-section and section visualization, and walkthrough video visualizations. The bi-directionality feature is available for Revit, ArchiCAD and Rhino.
  • 4D and 5D construction simulation: Fuzor provides high-quality 4D construction simulations, 5D cost tracking, model-based quantity take-offs and more valuable options. The software gives the possibility to plan site logistics with the vehicle and worker simulations.
  • Sequence animations: Create sequence animations of building construction and maintenance processes for Asset and Facility Management using imported models and equipment.
  • Clash management: Fuzor has an interactive clash management interface that allows easy detection and resolution of interferences and clashes in the BIM models of multiple file types. The clash resolution is made to the live-link file immediately resolving the clashes.
  • Safety and clearance analysis: Fuzor comes with edge safety and height clearance tools which allow for easy planning with the site safety plans.
  • Peer-to-Peer collaboration: The Fuzor “VDC and Design Ultimate” versions allow you to host a real-time collaboration session while the other versions only support joining.

Typical workflow

  1. Import model. Import the BIM model from external software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino, Civil3D, Navisworks, through in-built plugins. Import SketchUp, Autodesk FBX, IFC, Point Cloud files, and 3DS files via drag and drop.
  2. Import a 4D schedule. Import schedules from Microsoft Project, Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel as .xml or .csv format or import schedule from another Fuzor project.
  3. Estimate costs. Estimate costs with resources in the 4D schedule.
  4. Resolve clashes. Check for clashes in the BIM models of different file types such as Navisworks and Revit and resolve them in real-time.
  5. Perform analysis. Run various tests such as height clearance, edge detection and lighting analysis by creating rooms in the Fuzor application.
  6. Create renderings and animations. Export sequence animations and walkthroughs in MP4 format. Create Planned vs Actual videos to show construction progress.
  7. Collaborate. Share construction progress with project owners including the schedule with video proposals to better communicate the timeline.

Integrations

Plugins

The following software have Fuzor plugin if you install Fuzor after you installed the software: Autodesk Revit 2019-2023, Archicad 22-26, Navisworks 2019-2023, Civil 3D 2019-2023, Rhino 5-7, Microstation Connect.

Supported formats

The following file formats can be loaded directly in Fuzor: FBX (3D Object), SKP (SketchUp 2016-2022), Point Cloud (PTS, FLS, RCP), IFC (Industry Foundation Classes), 3DS (3DS Max). Fuzor supports all main scheduling authoring software: Asta Powerproject (XML), Microsoft Project (XML), Primavera P6 (XML), Microsoft Excel (CSV).

What’s new in version 2024

  • 4D automation with Fuzor Expert AI: Automate 4D projects with Fuzor’s Expert AI, reducing manual effort and saving time in assigning objects to schedules or activity codes.
  • Micro-schedule system: Enhance safety and clash-free installations with a granular micro-schedule system that focuses on detailed construction tasks.
  • Precise zone drawing: Draw precise zones and adjust heights easily, facilitating the assignment of model elements to schedules and improving project visualization.
  • Auto-generated keyframes: Simplify animation creation with auto-generated keyframes, particularly beneficial for detailed vehicle animations.
  • Auto linked paths for vehicle logistics: Streamline vehicle site logistics planning with auto-linked paths, enabling vehicles to follow predetermined routes.
