3D Repo is a cloud-based SaaS encrypted platform for BIM coordination and BIM data management; it allows multidisciplinary teams to communicate and access models through a web browser. Users can manage 3D model revisions and highlight potential issues using live collaboration tools, which enable the whole project team to work from a single source of truth any where and at any time. Architects, engineers, and contractors can simply point their web browser to an encrypted cloud platform, instead of sharing massive proprietary files in a costly and time-consuming manner.

You can upload 3D models on the cloud and carry out a number of tasks in a collaborative environment, including: issue tracking, analytics, health and safety (SafetiBase), clash detection (Instant Clash), change detection (3D Diff), data validation. Or pull uploaded 3D models down into various products that are built on top of 3D Repo platform:

PlanBase is a product used for community engagement at the planning stage so you can pull models in and give access to the general public for them to be able to ask questions and give feedback.
3drepo.io is a flagship product. It is model collaboration platform that allows you to federate together multiple models from different disciplines, view them in a web browser, and run analysis such as change detection, clash detection and 4D analysis of the model.
3D Send is a free communication tool that anyone can use at 3dsend.com for sending 3D models to people you’re collaborating with, where they can download the model but also view it directly in a web browser for free.

3D Repo provides plugins for Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk AutoCAD, Unity (3DRepo4Unity), Unreal Engine (3DRepo4UnrealEngine Beta). It also provides templates for Power BI (issues template, risks template, Groups template, Model Data, custom visual) and Excel (sample issues table, sample risks table, Model Data).

You can just directly upload the file as well.

3D Repo’s open API allows you to connect into any tool that you’re using in your current workflow. Set up a simple 3D Repo embedded viewer integration for your website.

Supported formats

Users can upload all major formats including IFC4, RVT, NWD, DGN, DWG, SPM, FBX and OBJ; and file formats that are not model formats, like BCF and CSV.

CDE integrations

3D Repo allows linking to your existing CDE (Common Data Environment) or document management system. You can connect ProjectWise, Asite, Procore or even the Autodesk Construction Cloud to 3D Repo.
